Trophy List and Classes

The list below are the trophy's and classes for the 6th Annual Streets of Bakersfield Cruizn' Shine. Occasionally, vehicles may qualify for more than one classification. It is the intent of the judges to place such vehicles in the most suitable classes based on construction and appearance.

Car Show Category Descriptions

  • Antique: Vehicles built before 1930, both foreign and domestic
  • Classic: Vehicles built between 1965 and 1985, both foreign and domestic.
  • Muscle Car: American made 2-door coupes between 1964-1975 with large displacement engine.
  • Street Rod: Pre-1949 American made car customized with large displacement engine.
  • Rat Rod: Pre-1949 non-traditional custom car that, in most cases, imitates/exaggerates Street Rods.
  • Sports Car:  Open to all production two door cars for two passengers. Cars may be survivor, restored original or customized.
  • Import Car: All model years. All makes/models manufactured in Europe, Asia, Australia, Mexico, So. America., such as MG, Porsche, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda (Excluding VW).
  • Lowrider: All make, model, years with customized paint, interior and air bags or hydraulics front and rear.
  • Custom: Any vehicle with three or more significant modifications to the body, engine and/or interior, including custom paint jobs, blowers, turbos, low-riders, custom interiors, custom bodies.
  • Original/Stock: This is a vehicle that has been maintained both aesthetically and mechanically to original condition.
  • Modern American Car: 1985 to present model year cars sold by American manufacturers such as Dodge, Ford, and Chevrolet.
